What sword in 10k price range?
A guildmate would like to buy a sword for about 10k and wants to know what would be a good sword for that price range. As I seldom use my warrior I said I would post here and get an answer for him. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

visit the auctions section on this guru site, this should give you a good idea of weapons in that price ranger, also check for mod prices, as you may be able to customize a collectors sword or weaponsmiths one for cheaper than a player would sell it.
depends if your one of the people that prefers rarity and skin over function, long sword is just as good as crystaline and IDS |

My choice would be Rocktail's Stinger.

I'd say Drocknar's sword (end of game green for GWEN) would probably be easy enough to obtain for 10K or less...

We really can't give you a good answer without knowing your guildie's preferences.
- Does he just want a max damage sword? Any sword? - Does he already have a decent sword and just wants a different one? - What's important to him? Is he looking for a particular mod? Does he want a specific skin? I'd tell him to head over to wiki and check out the options. First design his ideal sword. What damage modifier does he want (15^50 is widely preferred) Look at all the sword pommel options and pick the one he prefers. Look at all the sword hilt options and choose one. Review all the possible skins and mark 3 or 4 that he likes. Now put everything together and see what that particular skin is likely to cost. If it's over budget then start taking stuff away. Can he live with a 20% while hexed rather than a 15^50? Will another skin be just as good or does he have his heart set on a fellblade? |

If he wants something that looks cool, he should just look through the wiki and see what suits his tastes.
If he wants good stats on the cheap, he should pick up two 15^50 (or empty inscription slot) swords from a collector or crafter and buy a +5AL pommel for both, a vampiric hilt for one, and an elemental hilt for the other. Collector Skins: Dadao Sword Etched Sword Highlander Blade Machete Crafter Skins: Katana Machete (again) Long Sword "Long Sword" (Short Sword skin) Norn Sword Asuran Sword (I left Charrslayer sword out because you can't change the pommel.) |

Does he have the bonus mission pack. That would be a good way to get a good looking gold sword, but no mods. But then again he could spend the 10k on mods.

You can get just about everything except for a few rare/expensive stuff (tormented, destroyer, celesital, obsidian, eternal) for 10k.
A lot of "rare" skins are VERY cheap if you buy a high requirement version. For example, a req 9 elemental sword may cost ~30k, but you could probablly get a req 11-12 one (which is identical functionally) for ~8k. |

If you don't care about resale value then look for inscribed blue or purple weapons, you can get great skins and mod them to your liking for very little cash this way.
Just keep in mind they the mods on such weapons are most likely worth more than the weapons themselves. |

or you can save a whole lot on mods by getting non max mods like 29 hp etc. won't make much a difference in terms of efficiency and will go a long way if you are on a budget
